Dental Logo Design
Your logo is your practice identity. It’s what people see when they think of your dental practice. Hence, it is a graphic representation of who you are, what you can do, and what you stand for. In short, it is your brand image. It’s important to include your logo on every piece of communication. Put it on business cards, letterhead, envelopes, invoices, building signage, newsletters, etc. Below explains the design process and steps involved. Be sure to look at our dental logo portfolio below.
Dental Logo Process
Step One: Collaboration
The process of creating your custom dental logo begins by collaborating with the dentist about what image they want to portray. Key issues to uncover include:- Specific dental services offered What does your dental practice specialize in? Are you an orthodontist, endodontist, periodontist, oral surgeon, etc? If you are a general practitioner, what is your focus- cosmetic dentistry, sedation dentistry, etc?
- Including local style Is your dental practice located in a popular location? A great design idea is to incorporate local symbols into the logo.
- Color scheme In dentistry, choosing the right color scheme for your logo is critical. Color is just as important in your dental logo as the other elements.
- Competitive landscape It’s important to know what other dental practices in your area have for a logo. Creating the brand for your dental practice means having a unique look that other dentists don’t have.
- Tooth or no tooth Do you want to have dental elements in your logo? While some think incorporating a crown is clichéd, it is very effective in identifying what you are to the consumer.
Step Two: Logo Design
After collaboration, a number of logo mockups are created and submitted to the dentist for review. Once the dentist chooses their logo, it can be used in business cards, printed materials, brochures, and for their website. They own the logo, not us!
